Completed Iroquois Main Floor
The attention to detail in the design should be your focus here. Subtle decisions have lasting impacts. The open concept provides a light filled space. The walnut flooring flows through the space. In the kitchen, dark lowers and off-white uppers soften the space for a more furniture like appearance. The appliance wall is light in colour so as to look minimal in the open concept living area. The kitchen pantry takes the place of a wall of cabinets, thus reducing the cabinetry order and limiting clutter. The back wall is pierced with a series of matching functional windows to open up the yard to the kitchen, hall and office. A 5ft. hidden barn door separates the media room from the front hall, providing sound control only when necessary. The main floor powder room was hidden behind the kitchen off the hallway, close to the back door for ease of access from the yard and providing preferred privacy. Finally, as the stair is visible from throughout the space, an architectural metal rail and open stringers, along with a stacked compact design provides for a bright design centerpiece. The dormer above was added over the stair and cascades light for both the first and second floor landings.
